REGISTRATION OPEN Solid Perfume / Herbal Salve Workshop

We welcome to to join us for an evening of sips, snacks and scents! We're popping up in the beautiful space at Miam Miam General store on Sommerset St. West for a hands on workshop where you'll create a signature solid perfume and an herbal salve for your skin. We'll cover the basics of essential oil blending, how to crate a base for your solid perfume using proper formulation, herbal extracts, different methods of herbal extraction and how to create an herbal salve that's best suited for your skin type.

Discover an extensive range of 40+ essential oils beyond the mainstream selection and decide on your favourites. To make it easy, we have categorized our oils into different groups: Citrus, herbaceous, woody/earthy, floral, spicy and a few special oils that need a category of their own. We'll introduce you to top, middle and base notes and let you play and explore. You'll be surprised at how good you already are at blending!

Creating a base for your solid perfume so that you can re-create your signature scent: Learn the basics of proper formulation using percentages and grams. Weight and melt your butters, oils and waxes and add your signature sent. The results: The perfect textured solid perfume.

Learning how to crate a stable herbal salve: Take your newly learned formulation skills and create an herbal salve using 1 of 5 different herbal extracts (or blend a few together) and create a salve suited for your skin type/concerns.

All ingredients and packaging will be supplied to you.  You will be able to blend scents from ~40 essential oils. 

The workshop will be held at the charming Miam Miam General Store, 645 Sommerset Street.  Refreshments and snacks will be served!
